Me Now.

Hello, This is Sami!

Thank all of you for worring about if I stay safe during a supertyphoon which hit Japan last night and fortunately nothing happend to my hometown.

However, at least 19 people have died, and at least 16 people are missing in total. About 100 people have been injured. One woman fell to her death from a rescue helicopter.

Somehow this natural disaster reminded me of "11.3.2011".

Still now, there must be people who have been waiting for a rescue.

Hope the damage at minimum.

By the way, I might think some of you have any questions like "What have i been doing after back to Japan from Denmark?" "What did you make up your mind for my future?"

To put it simply, I would like to be a School Social worker in my future so I will be in Norway to study for a master for social work!

f:id:asami1026:20190930222608j:plain

and next question from you that i can guess is that "Why in Norway?" "What is a school social worker?" "Why do you want to be?"

f:id:asami1026:20190930222800j:plain

Why in Norway?

There is a master course for Social Work and Welfare, in English so international students can study about Nordic welfare model and students will enhance the international and comparative discourses on social work practices within different welfare regimes!

Moreover, that's greatly appreciated that I can study there for free! WHAT A.....😧How unbelievable it is...that must be so expensive if I study for master in Japan and also in other developed coutries.

The most important reason is that I love Nordic coutries but I just stayed in Denmakr for a year and traveled for several days in Sweden so I would like to get know about further features in Nordic coutries if I can stay longer there☺️💕

What is a school social worker?

Social workers help people solve and cope with problems in their everyday lives. One group of social workers, clinical social workers, school socila workers, also diagnose and treat mental, behavioral, and emotional issues.

In short, I think social workers could be mothers for all of people who need help for any reasons. they Do Develop plans to improve their clients’ well-being, Help clients work with government agencies to apply for and receive benefits such as Medicare, and so on.

Unfortunately, few japanese people know and understand what they are doing becouse few social workers are working in Japan....but in these days the importance of the role of social workers has been gradually increasing, still lack of the numbers of that thought.

School social workers bring unique knowledge and skills to the school system and the student services team. They are trained mental health professionals who can assist with mental health concerns, behavioral concerns, positive behavioral support, academic, and classroom support, consultation with teachers, parents, and administrators as well as provide individual and group counseling/therapy.

Whenever I explain what they do to my friends, I would say that school social worker is kinda the brige between Education and Welfare. Lately it is said that both fields have a very stong connection to help all of children at school.

WHY do today's schools need School Social Workers?

Children today are increasingly victims of many social forces that negatively affect their role as students. The family is in a state of change and until it becomes stabilized, in whatever form, children's unmet physical and emotional needs will continue to interfere with their ability to learn and adjust in school.

As you know, "hikikomori" is one of serious issues in Japan and its been known worldwide so i often got questions about it by my international frineds.

To help and decrease the number of children who feel like want to die and deserve to live, school social workers could deal with these issues with school, teachers, parents, and any other stakeholders.

Why do you want to be?

When i was right after bakc to Japan, I had been feeing like I was empty, nothing and useless for some reasons. I don't know why but it just happened to me. I think everything in Denmark was bright new thing around me and every single day I met new friends from diversity of countries, bunch of nature, and a lot of generous friends with me. I am still missing them and wish i could go back to Denmark but at the same time I realized that it would make me avoid difficult things that we have as social issues in Japan.

For sure that Denmark is one of the happiest countries in the wourld with equal rights to benefits such as healthcare and education for all citizens. However I also would think that it is not an accident or a coincidence. It is what Danish people have kept making an effort for their own state to make it better.

Eventually, a lot of people from other coutries have been attracted to Denmark.

Since i think in that way, I would like to make Japan more attractive country with keeping up an effort in Education, Politics, Welfare and all of other aspects in Japan!

Hope Japan would be a coutry where I could feel I want to live.

To think of what i am interested in and what makes me feel disappointing sometimes, definitely Education, and also whom I want to help is people who can not ask anyone for help or feel alone. At the same time, I realized that Welfare could have a power to support them in any ways. That is how I made up my mind to be a school social worker. I don't know how is going on in my life and who knows if i would change my mind?

Never mind. I just go forwards believing in myself, like what steve jobs did.

You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something – your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever.

Steve jobs
