Hej, this is Sami!
By th way, are you interested in Japan?
How many of these facts about Japan do you already know?
What are interesting facts about Japan?
That's what I asked students at the beginning of presentations.
I did not expect plenty of students at each class, 1st, 6th and 9th grades,
they were so actively trying to answer what I asked to them
and let me know what they have known about Japan as much as possible!
I was about to be moved to tears....
thank you so much from bottom of my heart...
For instance....
One Boy at 6 grades
Boy1) Hey sami! I have watched one of the popular japanese breakfast foods on YouTube!
It was the one mixed cooked rice with raw egg and soy sauce.
It looks so creazy!! a
Sami) .......!!!!! is what you are talking about tamago kake gohan???
Boy1) Oh Yeah! I think the one!
Sami) ......Σ (゜👄゜）
I did not expect to meet Danish person who knows such a low visiblity japanese food...
I don't even eat it so often in Japan....

How big is Tokyo? How many popupation living in Tokyo?
Asami) (oh, That is exactly what I expected as question getting from students so I have prepared to answer...)
Surprisingly, 9 million people living in Tokyo! even it is just 622k㎡ of Tokyo..
so it means a population density of 6,158 persons per square kilometer...
So you can not miss meeting bunch of people in Tokyo...
That is creazy and noizy too much though...haha
and every single student was like...

Asami) Ohhhhh!!! That is totally out of my mind! I should have showed the one on slide!
*Meaning of the Flag: The flag’s design embodies the country’s nickname,
Land of the Rising Sun.
Since came here in Denmark, one of things that I noticed is "Flags".
LITERALLY ANYWHERE and ANYTIME YOU CAN SEE DANISH FLAGS,
even in class and corridor at school where I visited ( ↓pictures below )
At the same time, I asked myself "Why is the flag so important for Dans?"

The Danish flag has a name: “dannebrog”, which means “Danish cloth”. Legend has it that the flag fell from the sky during a battle of the Danish army against Estonia, when they were praying to God to save them from defeat
Throughout looking at the reasons above,
I respect them more and especially love Danish flag design♡
* All of sudden, I runned into danish door in copenhagen which might let me visit anywhere
What's more, Some of students know about Original Japanese martial arts,
such as Budo, Sumo and Karate.
What made me surprised most is that one girl in 6th grade has learned Karate in Denmark!!
Throughout this experience,
I am delighted to meet those students who like and are interested in Japan.
We Japanese people should be pride of our country and culture.
What I think is more necessary for us is that
we respect not only our own country but also other countries.
I think next article of my blog might be based on experience in this school...

こんにちは！さみです！
今回は全てを日本語に訳すのはやめて、大事なところだけピックアップします！
前回の続きで、とある学校を訪れた時の話。
そこで「どれだけ日本がデンマークで知られているのか」に驚いたので
皆さんにもシェアしたいと思います。
私は学校訪問でプレゼンを行ったときに、生徒さん方に
「みんな日本のことどれだけ知っている？」と聞きました
私は、答えとして出てくるのは「寿司」と「アニメ」くらいかなと思っていたのですが
そんな浅はかな考えだった私を殴ってやりたい。
デンマークでも日本の文化は人気！！！
例えば、卵がけご飯について、ある男の子が知っていることに驚き。
私でさえ、高校生くらいになるまで食べたことなかったのに。
（個人的にご飯をぐちゃぐちゃ混ぜるのがあまり好きじゃないので）
後は、デンマーク人らしい質問だなと思ったのは
「日本の国旗ってどんなの？」
あ、うっかりスライドに入れるの忘れてた
そう。デンマーク人にとって国旗は大事。
市役所や街の至る所で大きな国旗をみるだけではなく、
誕生日会や学校の廊下でさえ、デンマークの旗を見ます。

デンマーク人の団結力の理由が垣間見えるよね。
日本語と英語で色々調べてみると、
「なぜデンマーク人が自国の国旗を誇りに思っているか」説は色々あって、

1219年6月15日にヴァルデマー2世率いるデンマーク軍がエストニア軍とリュンダニの宗教戦争の最中、空から降ってきて、それまで苦戦していた戦いが形勢逆転し勝利したという説や、ローマ帝国皇帝から授かったこの旗を掲げた所、形勢逆転し勝利したという説もありますが、これらは歴史的信憑性に乏しく、デンマーク政府は、13世紀初頭にローマ教皇が十字軍の標としてクロスを授けたことが起源としています。

デンマークの愛国精神はここからくるのね。
さらに、日本のスポーツについても知ってるよー！という生徒さんがいました
相撲について聞かれたときは焦った。。。
*質問攻めに会い、戸惑っているわたし
私が住んでいるオーデンセにも、「空手教室」や「柔道クラブ」があるくらい
日本のスポーツは小さな北欧の国デンマークでも人気♡
私が訪れた6年生のクラスで、大変美人な女の子が
「実は空手をやっているわよ、わたし」と
綺麗な髪をなびかせて、少し恥ずかしそうにしている姿が大変可愛かったです。♡
日本人の皆さんは、デンマークについてどれだけ知っていますか？
デンマークのように母国を愛し、他国への尊敬も忘れない精神は
グローバル化社会で大変大事だなと思いました。
無知は罪じゃないけど、他人や他国を知ろうとする努力は大切だと思うし、
相手に興味を持つことは忘れたくないな、と感じます。
次も、まだ小学校訪問で学んだこと書きたいなあ〜
